Systematic has always set and achieved high targets for the annual reduction of CO2 emissions, we are very conscious of the impact that our business activities have upon the environment. As a registered company of the Carbon Trust, we are now being assessed, with the aim of achieving the same accreditation standards as Tesco, Asda and O2. Companies can only achieve this high standard by proving that they have significantly reduced their CO2 emissions consecutively year after year. In early 2011 we completed a full fleet replacement, which included upgrading 85% of our vehicles to the latest Euro 5 emission standards. We have also introduced sloping front cargo eco-bodies to all our 18-26ton rigid vehicles, replicating our unique eco-trailer designs. These specially designed vehicles can be seen in more detail by visiting our fleet gallery. With the assistance of the Carbon Trust we have calculated that our CO2e have reduced by more than 100 tonnes annually, purely through the introduction of these new extra low emission vehicles. We continue to reduce our CO2e further still, by achieving set targets that we have set for our business. The Palletways network as a whole achieves in excess of 85% vehicle capacity utilisation, considerably higher than the general road haulage industry average of just 51%.

Therefore, we can confidently guarantee that we are the most environmentally friendly express palletised freight distribution service available within our territory. No alternative offers the same commitment to the environment or the latest European emission standards, together with huge investment in low emission sloped front vehicles.
